I have about 39 files (spreadsheets) that are linked to two master spreadsheets. For some reason when I open these in Excel 2007, it runs very slow. I have updated all the files to the 2007 version and turned off the automatic calculations, but it is still running slow.

The reason that I need all the files open at once is that the majority of each of the 39 files are linked via (vlookups, if summary, and direct links) to the other two files. So, when I make changes in the master file, I need all the 39 files to update cell locations etc.

So, does anyone have any suggetions as to how to speed this process up?
