Excel Auto-Fill Date In Corresponding Row

Hello Everybody!

Im trying to make a checklist in Excel that will auto-fill the date into a row when something is entered into the corresponding row.


For instance row "1" will be the task and row "2" will be date. When the user fills in a cell in row "1", I would like for the current date to be filled into the corresponding cell in row 2.

I think this can be done using macros, which is something that I am not very familiar with.

Please help!

Do you hate GETPIVOTDATA?
Prevent GETPIVOTDATA. Select inside a PivotTable. In the Analyze tab of the ribbon, open the dropown next to Options and turn it off
