I have a nice dynamic chart that shows the number of calls we get by category. the vertical Axis changes as the chart changes, but when we only get a few calls, Excel wants to give me fractional minor grid lines . . . for example, if we only have 1 call, my vertical axis shows 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, etc. How do I make Excel only show me whole numbers on my vertical axis?

thanks

Convert text numbers to real numbers
Select a column containing text numbers. Press Alt+D E F to quickly convert text to numbers. Faster than "Convert to Number"
Not 100% if I'm clear on the problem here Jeffrey but (if it's what I think) can you not simply Format Axis and set major\minor unit to Fixed (and set your preferred increment) instead of Auto ?

Probably too simple an answer but you never know :)
