Afternoon I'm trying to find a value that does exist in a cell that IS not a formula, but it's not finding the same value in my cell with the formula

What can I do to correct that. I've tried to search the web end the Excel site here with no luck.

In the images below you can see I have a cell with no formula and one with formula. When I search on ALAUB it only finds sell A6 but does not find I6 with the formula.

Thank you in advance

Excel Facts

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
On the Find and Replace dialog, on the Find tab, click Options and change the Look in box to Values.

Solution
another question if don't mind.

I'm using the following formula to look up part of an address but it's coming back in N/A. I use this same type of formula to look up a cell reference that had five characters and needed to return the full value of the search

=VLOOKUP(LEFT($D41&"*",4),'VF Recon from Ron 10-6'!L:R,1,FALSE)

Try changing your formula to
Excel Formula:
=VLOOKUP(LEFT($D41,3)&"*", 'VF Recon from Ron 10-6'!L:R,1,FALSE)
