Hi all,
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

I need some help please. I spreadsheet that is used won’t calculate the formulas. I have tried changing to general and redoing the formula but it’s not working.

Also, dates won’t format either. I’ve tried changing these to date format but they remain as numbers.

Anyone help?

Thanks

Excel Facts

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
check excel tools, options, formulas and see if "Automatic" is checked or selected and also close all excel, restart the file which you want to work on and try doing the formula and formatting.

In the formula tab make sure "Show formulas" is unchecked.

For 2003, go to Tools>Formula Auditing>Formula Auditing Mode.

I think the shortcut key for Showing/Hiding formulas is Ctrl+` (the apostraphe near the 1 key) - so it's fairly easy to fumble activate if you use Ctrl+1 shortcut a lot for formatting cells.
