I have Excel 2003 running on my PC. I work in a mixed MAC/PC environment. Some of the files that I have been sent will open but the formatting has been stripped out. No pivot tables, etc.

But here's what is weird:

1. Some PC users at work can open the Excel files in question with no issues.

2. MAC users are on Office 2008. They seem to have no issues sending and opening files betweeen themselves.

3. I've reinstalled Office 2003 from our cloud to make sure it wasn't my version.

How do I debug this issue and determine if it is an application, interoperability, or settings issue?

Anyone?

Excel Facts

Test for Multiple Conditions in IF?
Use AND(test, test, test, test) or OR(test, test, test, ...) as the logical_test argument of IF.
Yes, it does. My help desk tech guy thinks it has to do with links. He says he cannot see them in 2003 version but they are there in 2010 version. He says they point to a share dir.

Never heard of links you couldn't see.

Let me get access to that share dir and see if that clears up my prob.
