Hi,

In a helper column there are two criteria which I can combine into a single value using =A1&A2 for example which gives 11.

If I try to use 11 to lookup this value it will show as false as for some reason even though =A1&A2 is formatted as a number it still isn't recognised as a normal 11.

Not sure if there is a way around this.

Hope I've explained it clearly.

Thanks for reading.

Excel Facts

VLOOKUP to Left?
Use =VLOOKUP(A2,CHOOSE({1,2},$Z$1:$Z$99,$Y$1:$Y$99),2,False) to lookup Y values to left of Z values.
When you concatenate numbers they become text, try
=(A1&A2)+0
