I am trying to write some code for importing results from a .txt or .csv file.

I just want to pull certain numbers from this .txt or .csv file into excel. Any suggestions? I don't think I can record a macro outside of excel (or can I?)

Thank you in advance.

p.s: any code will be helpful for a start. I can edit it to give me what I want.

Excel Facts

What is the last column in Excel?
Excel columns run from A to Z, AA to AZ, AAA to XFD. The last column is XFD.
Try recording Importing data from your txt or csv file.
Start by clicking Data | Import External Data | Import Data...
Follow the dialog box to import the type of data you want "*.*" or ".csv".
You can import the whole data then use excel to gather just what you are after.
That should get you started.
