Every time I start up my document it tells me to 'update links' - there shouldn't be any links by design.

I've checked the 'Edit Links' and there is an existing link apparently. How can I trace where this is? I've tried using Ctrl F and searching '.xl' across the whole workbook but it cant find any matches.

Please help :)

Enter current date or time
Ctrl+: enters current time. Ctrl+; enters current date. Use Ctrl+: Ctrl+; Enter for current date & time.
There's a few places you need to check.

This seems to have a fairly comprehensive list.

How to Find External Links and References in Excel

Thank you. I've fixed it!

For anyone wondering, I ended up running a compatibility report which highlighted a number of risks. When looking at the data validation highlighted in the report it brought to my attention a few cells that that had data validation (lists) in them.

The cells had been split and re-purposed a long time ago but old data validation still remained in the split cells. I'd never have found these without the Comp Report! Useful tool I never utilised before.
