Excel not respoding to my shortcut

I installed Excel 2016 on a new PC and moved all my Excel files from my old PC to this new PC.
However, all my Excel shortcuts no longer work! i.e., Excel does open but the spreadsheet with
my data is not displayed. Actually, even cells are NOT displayed (only a blank screen with NO
file name at the top).

However, when I'm in in Excel and I browse to my file it will display as expected. And once in the
Excel File listing it will display just fine thereafter.

I thought my shortcut might be in error (even though I verified where it was pointing to) so I
created a new shortcut on the new PC and still have the same problem.

Thanks in advance to all who reply.

Hi bromberg,

Try below steps:
  1. In the upper-left corner of the Excel window, select File > Options.
  2. On the left side of the Options window, select Advanced.
  3. In the Advanced window, scroll down to the General section.
  4. Clear the Ignore other applications that use Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) check box, and then select the OK button at the bottom of the window.
Thanks,
Saurabh

Saurabh,
Thanks - I'd seen that in one of my Google searches but I never had that "DDE" box checked.
