This issue started yesterday. Before I would click on the excel icon in the web page and the page will download directly into excel, but now it opens in an IE window that looks like excel.

My IT guy came yesterday to fix other issue and he made some changes to IE, but he does not remember them, I also tried to restore my as it was on Friday but it tells me that no changes were made.

Any help will be really appreciated.

Thanks,

Esteban
PS: Excel 2002
IE: 6

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
Hi,
Right click on your excel file icon and select "Open With" and then select EXCEL from there or using the "Other Programs".
Also take care to check the "Always use this program...." check box at the bottom. This should take care of the problem.
