I have a situation where I'm splitting a time formatted cell for calculating seconds and including milliseconds
My formula looks like this and it generally works
=(MINUTE(I15)*60)+(SECOND(I15)+(RIGHT(TEXT(I15,"mm:ss.000"),3)/1000))
And my data (time) looks like this
I15 = 01:49.833
And this field is a custom format mm:ss.000
this calculates the seconds to be
result = 110.833
but the correct answer should be
result should be = 109.833
testing has shown that it is rounding the seconds up based on the millseconds immediately following
ie 01:49.833 incorrectly becomes 110.833
while 01:49.433 correctly becomes 109.433
please help - what can I do to correct this
And the simpler the fix the better please
