Excel Wont Save

Hey Guys I have a pretty large document which has links to 3 other spreadsheets and now it wont save. It will open but everytime I try to save it now it gives me an error message and says its not responding and is trying to recover the document do you guys have any ideas how to repair this.

First thing I wwould do is use Edit/Move or Copy Sheet to copy (not move) all the sheets to a new workbook, and see if that saves.

Safest is to firstcreate the new workbook, save it to give it a name, and then save it after each sheet copied to it.
