I am new to this, sorry if I am treading on toes.

I have an Excel 2000 problem – can anyone help solve it?
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />
Clearly the individual elements are easily accomplished as separate formulae but to link them all into one formula is sadly beyond me.

I want to put the following into cell F1

if A1 = "ERIC" then create an empty (blank) cell in F1– even if C2 has a value.
if A1 = contains any other value, then let C2 +1
if both A1 and C2 are empty then leave cell F1 empty

Excel Facts

Round to nearest half hour?
Use =MROUND(A2,"0:30") to round to nearest half hour. Use =CEILING(A2,"0:30") to round to next half hour.
