Good Afternoon,

I am trying to get a "Textbox" to give a total if the "assigned to" = "M" and Status = "Pended" as per below.

=[Data]![Assigned To]="M" And [Data]![Status]="Pended"

I am getting an error as #Name?.

I am unsure of where i am going wrong or is there an easier way to do this?

Thanks
Gav

The [NameField] can this be a Label with a persons name in?
As well as the [Status] aslo holding Open & Pended would i do another
=DCount("[Label1]", "[Data]","[Assigned To]='M' And [Status]='Pended' And [Status]='Open'")

thanks

Excel Facts

How to find 2nd largest value in a column?
MAX finds the largest value. =LARGE(A:A,2) will find the second largest. =SMALL(A:A,3) will find the third smallest
No it has to be a field in the table.

By the way, why aren't you doing the count in a query?

I was advised as i needed to do it for around 5 people i would need to do it this way.
Can a query be run then shown as a report in figures instead of individual records.

If so i will look at doing it like this if it can give a total instead of individual records

Thanks

What exactly are you trying to do with the report?

I am hoping that when i open my database (or an individual) that the report will run automatically showing how many records are showing "open" or "Pended" under each of the 5 people that use it showing an upto date figure. Ideally i want the report to show and then hopefully build a few Macros in that will automatically run depending what info is needed.

I am hoping to make a landing page when it opens similary to how people do with Excel

Thanks

That should all be done in a query which you can then use as the records source of a report.
