I have a worsheet that has server names in the 1st col and then avg usage by month in the next columns. I want to be able to type in the month of interest and extract the avg usage data from this worksheet into another worksheet used for billing. Right now, I 'cut-n-paste'. Server names and the same in each worksheet. Thanks....

How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
use a formula like this

=VLOOKUP(F1,A:C,MATCH(F2,A1:C1,0))

where F1 is the name of the server
F2 is the name of the month

then if you change the values in F1 or F2 the formula will find the correct value
