Excel sheet protection function not working for some reason (View - Protect sheet) does anyone kn ow why this is happening.. thanks--Indu

"Not working" for all cells? Some cells?

Select the cells you want to protect, then Home | Format | Lock Cell

Now protect the sheet.

It's not working for entire sheet. it is happening for some excel documents.

It works for new documents and even some old documents. but it is not working for some documents. i couldn't figure out why it works for some and not in other. thanks for your help.
