Hello all,

I am new here.
I am facing an issue with opening files from the specified alternate startup path. This path only has one file (*.xlsb extension), and the file is not corrupted (i tried opening manually and opens fine). I checked the advanced settings in excel to ensure that the file path is specified correctly. Also tried ?application.altstartuppath from the VBA immediate window and it gives me the path which i have specified.

The file was opening perfectly fine for the last year or so, and the issue i started to notice only from last week.

Any advise, much appreciated.
I did a search with my subjectline in existing threads, nothing came up in the first set of results - sorry if this was answered before.

Thank you.

Martin

VLOOKUP to Left?
Use =VLOOKUP(A2,CHOOSE({1,2},$Z$1:$Z$99,$Y$1:$Y$99),2,False) to lookup Y values to left of Z values.
in case anyone facing similar issues, i sorted this out myself. i am working on a hosted desktop in Microsoft azure. Things started to work once i replaced the path reference to G:\ (the root folder where my startup path is) with "\\dd-fs-01\Data\Data\shares\company\"... i found this reference by using a hyperlink feature within an excel workbook which revealed this path....
