Fill Series Number With Jumping

how to make series number for this layout :

series number can jumping alphabet or roman number but keep series.. any help thanks in advance. .sst

Hi,

You can use this formula in a new column to generate a numeric series:

=IF(LEN(A2),A2,COUNTIF($A$1:A2,"="&""))

However, if you'd like to "fill the gaps" in your original dataset (column A) then you need to incorporate some VBA code into your file.
