I have created a filter function in my spreadsheet that works perfectly on the computer that I created it on. I emailed the spreadsheet to my work - when I open it, it appears to be just the way it was save. The filter searches part numbers and returns the quantity of the rows that have that part number, However, when I try to search a different part number, I get a #name? error. All of this works fine on the computer I created it on - I can change the part number and it returns the data I need.

So I tried to delete the filter formula altogether and just recreate it at work and it will not let me remove the formula, I get "cannot change an array formula". Again, I can just delete the filter formula from the computer I created it on without issue. Not sure what I am missing here.

Excel Facts

Repeat Last Command
Pressing F4 adds dollar signs when editing a formula. When not editing, F4 repeats last command.
I would suspect that you don't have the same version of Excel on your work computer?

Welcome to the Board!

The FILTER function is a new function.
The below was taken from Microsoft's help on this function:

I am guessing your work computer is not running one of these versions.
