Hello,

I've been at this for hours and cannot seem to crack it I do not have code because nothing seems to be working. I've tried a looping method where it counts total pivot items and tries to match a partial string but nothing seems to be working.

The concept is straightforward - the color column is routinely updated and the values change. I'm trying to create a macro to eventually link to a button that when the new values update it filter based on a cell in this case it is "Red". How can this be done since "Red" would be a partial match. Not sure if it makes a difference but this data is added to a data model.

I'm trying to count ALL instances of Red automatically, the data set is very large and separating into individual colors is not practical for its intended application.

Any help is much appreciated, thank you.
