Hi everyone--

I have a worksheet that is split into months columns (January, Feb, etc...) and I have about 10 different tests with 10 test questions listed down the rows...basically I have 100 or so cells that need updating month to month. All of these cells are pulling data from a shared drive with a VLookup Formula.

When I have to update for the new month, I'm copy pasting but also have to switch the folder the formula looks up to the correct month. I'm using find/replace to do this correctly but it's taking quite a long time to do this each month.

Is there a way to speed this function up? Or is this just a computer not having enough RAM issue?

Thanks for taking the time to look at my question!

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
I suggest turning calculation off while you do your find and replace. Also you should check out the indirect formula. With this you can create formulas with strings and all you would need to do is update 1 cell with the new month to change your reference.

In 2007 or above go to the formulas tab and set to manual under calculation options. On 2000-2003 I believe it is under tools>options>Calculation tab.
