Finding Changes in a workbook

I have an excel workbook that is sent out everyday. This workbook contains information about different products, like quantity, locations, selling price, making price, etc. Any/all of this information may change from day to day (for example, a storm could occur that would impact the import of materials, which would then increase the quantity demanded, decrease the quantity stored, increase the making price, and so on). We have many products, and it is becoming increasingly difficult to constantly have to switch between an old and a new workbook to see the changes. Is there a quick and easy way to compare workbooks to discover changes? To highlight these changes, maybe even copy them over to a new work book?

Thank you for any insights that may be out there!

Hello - have you tried excel's built in track changes functionality to see if if works for your specific situation? If you are using excel 2007, it is under the review tab in the ribbon -> far right.

Hi verycoolbreeze,

Thanks for your response! Unfortunately the track changes option isn't one that will work in this situation. The workbooks that are being generated are different workbooks each day, not the same workbook being updated everyday.

I'm not entirely certain where to start with this one; any other ideas?

Thank you so much!
