folks,

i am getting a pop up error warning on a sheet with 4 pivots. these four pivots provide the data to four graphs. each of the series names in each graph and the horizontal axis labels are derived from named ranges which refer to the individual pivot tables. so the graph for Region 1 reads from the named ranges holding the pivot values from the particular Region 1 specific pivot table.

i have been through each graph and looked at the series values, and the label values to ensure that they are reading from the right named range and that the named range is picking up the correct data.

what else should i be doing to find out the problem?

Excel Facts

Select all contiguous cells
Pressing Ctrl+* (asterisk) will select the "current region" - all contiguous cells in all directions.
Maybe you could save a copy of the file, delete graphs one by one, then pivots one by one to nail down which one is having the problem.

i found it last night doing what you suggested. turns out it was the slicer i added. i had gone into its connections at first to check them when the error message first arose but they seemed to be all good. however, when i deleted it and then added it back again, the error was gone. Cheers.
