Finding links to a worksheet

I'm trying to find a way of listing other Excel worksheets that link to a particular worksheet, in other words the exact opposite to Edit, Links, Source.

This is to understand if moving or deleting particular Excel files will destroy links in other files.

Any ideas ?

I don't think there is a way. A workbook is sublimely unaware of other workbooks that reference it.

I can't believe there is no way to check external links to a file. Something in VB perhaps ?

The only way would be to open every workbook on disk and loop through their LinkSources.

Good grief. There are thousands of files on the netserver. Are you sure?

Of course I'm sure. What property do you think a workbook has that holds the names of workbooks that reference it? How would it be updated? If there were such a property it would be accessible in the user interface.
