On a userform I've entered a textbox which I want to restrict entry to the letters "Y", "y", "N" or "n" if any of the four examples are used then I need to force them to appear as uppercase letters.

Also, if any other letters or numbers are used I want to stop it being recorded.

Can anyone help?

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
Try this in the Textbox Change event:

Code:
Private Sub TextBox1_Change()
Dim t As String
Application.EnableEvents = False
    t = Right(TextBox1, 1)
    t = UCase(t)
    If t <> "Y" And t <> "N" Then
        TextBox1 = ""
    Else
        TextBox1 = t
    End If
Application.EnableEvents = True
End Sub
