Does anyone know how to stop MSWord from changing the format of a style? I've set up several styles which include an outline numbering system and no matter what I do, Word insists on reformatting the style to the default for a list.

I've added the styles to the template but that doesn't seem to help. I'm using MSWord 2003.

Oh, and "Automatically update document styles" is not checked.

Whats the difference between CONCAT and CONCATENATE?
The newer CONCAT function can reference a range of cells. =CONCATENATE(A1,A2,A3,A4,A5) becomes =CONCAT(A1:A5)
You say styles are reverting for you withan "outline numbering system".

You need to clarifying what you are doing with an "outline numbering system".

Are you using Bullets and Numbers and talking about an Outline Numbered list? If so, have you tried ignoring the styles but doing what you want with the "Customize" button on the Outline Numbered dialog box?

Are you creating some "outline numbering system" by inserting some index/table?

:)
