Hi I wonder if anyone could help ,

I can not get the Horizontal format Image (Jpeg Photos) menu to appear which allow me to crop or to set transparent backgrounds..
I only can see the vertical menu of the Format Picture in which these options are missing.
I can not set transparent back ground or play with images tones like the help tutorials are suggesting.

I am getting seriously frustrated :ROFLMAO: , I am using Excel 11 for Mac ver 14 4 7

Thank you sooo much..

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
When you select a JPEG image, the Ribbon's Format tab activates. You'll find the Set Transparent Color command at the bottom of the Recolor options.

Hi, thank you for your help.

This is is actually what I am saying, when I select the Image, the Ribbon s format tab does not activate as below. I can see only a vertical menu where these options are not available.

What you are mentioning is what I am actually looking for and this works well in Word but not in my Mac Excel 2011.

Strange Strange .. I must have hit an option keyby mistake but which one ? :)
Thanks a lot

M

Hi, no, still this same problem only a Vertical menu.
The vertical menu shows

Fill
Line
Shadow
Glow Soft edges
Reflection
3-D format
3-d rotation
Adjust Picture
Artistic Filters
Crop
Text box
Size
Properties
Alt text

Crop works only partly, i can not drag the frame I have to change the measure on the menu left right and up and down. Kind of annoying..

Thanks

M

Can you supply a screen shot? There really aren't any vertical menus in Excel, so I am having trouble visualizing what you are seeing.

Sorry, the picture is not coming through. You have to upload your image to a public host such as OneDrive or Flickr, then set permissions so the public can view the picture. Then put the link to the picture into a reply here.
