I'm using a column type chart which goes from 0 to 1000 in increments of 100 on the vertical axis. I would like to know if there is a way to format the axis so it show incremements of 25 starting at 0 through 300. After 300 it would go show increments of 200 until I reach 1000

I'm using Excel 2010

Thanks

Allen

Can you sort left to right?
To sort left-to-right, use the Sort dialog box. Click Options. Choose "Sort left to right"
This can be done, but takes a bit of work as you would probably need to break the axis.

Here is a tutorial on the subject:

However, you should be concerned (Very concerned) with misrepresenting the data as the columns were one increment doesn't equal another in the smaller range will trick the Human eye to thinking that the gap isn't as large as it really is.

Thank you for the link. I did not realize how much work was involved to split the axis. Glad to know there's a way to do it if necessary.

Thank you
