Formatting Palette inaccessible

My Excel Formatting Palette has become inaccessible. When I click on it (either on the icon on the formatting toolbar or under the "View" menu) the Palette zooms down across the screen to the lower right, ending up off screen as if it's been permanently positioned off screen. (Lower right portion of the screen is where I preferred to place it when using it.) Re-clicking it zooms it back up to it's place on the toolbar.<o></o>
I have found no tips that address this problem under the Help menu or Walkenbach's Excel Bible. I've re-installed Offfice from disc.<o></o>
I'd appreciate any help on how to restore the Formatting Palette to acessibility.<o></o>
