Formula help

Hi, i am looking for a formula to auto fill in the MOTM box in sheet 2 (bottom image) when i write the name in sheet 1 i would like it to auto populate in sheet 2 with a number. I already use a formula for the scorers =SUMIF(Sheet1!C$2:C$9997,B15,Sheet1!D$2:D$9997)

Perhaps in sheet2 D3, =COUNTIF(Sheet1!E:E,B3)

Thanks for this, just looking for it to count how many times the name is populated in that column when i add the next result.
