Formula help

Hi everyone

I am trying to set up a formula that returns the last figure entered in a certain range but am having some trouble.

For example, if the range was A1:A8 and the layout was as so:

A1 15
A2 49
A3 26
A4 13
A5 35
A6
A7
A8

I would like the value 35 to be returned. If it was:

A1 39
A2 13
A3 28
A4
A5
A6
A7
A8

I would like 28 to be returned.
