Formula to add data to bottom of column

Hello,

Is there a way to make the following formula subtotal all the data from N8 to the bottom of column of column N?

=SUBTOTAL(9,N8:N65536)

I have a macro that deletes a bunch of lines everytime I run that particular macro - which changes the cell reference.

Untested but try;

=SUBTOTAL(9,INDIRECT("N8:N65536"))
