I am transfering data into a table and I am having two seperate problems with this. First issue is I have dates in cells D2 & E2 and would like to show a 1 in cell F2 if the date in D2 is before or equal to the date in E2 and blank if it is after it. The problem is that if there is not a date in D2 it also returns a true value. So far the formula I am using was =IF(D2<=E2,1,"").
Also how can I get the Pivot Table on the same spreadsheet to ignore the formula in the cells of the table and only count the returned value. I am far from an Excel expert but am learning so please don't get to technical. Thanks for your help!!!

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.

For this part, add another IF statement. Replace "blank" with whatever you want to show there.

=IF(D2="","blank",IF(D2<=E2,1,""))
