I have been trying to download the Excel morefunc add in for 64 bit and have not been succesful. Because I am pressed for time and have to just get the work done, I just searched for a solution to my problem that someone else posted.

I need a tab name to display in a field in my worksheet. I found this:
=MID(CELL("filename"),FIND("]",CELL("filename"))+1,255)

It works perfectly but I don't understand how. I'm not an expert Excel user but finding more and more functionality that I had no idea existed, so am trying everything new!

Can someone break down the above and explain it to me so I can understand and perhaps modify the function for future use?

Much appreciated!

Select the data and press Alt+F1 to insert a default chart. You can change the default chart to any chart type
Thanks! It's going to take some time to figure it out 100% but using the info you gave me it's starting to make sense. I've been using Excel for years and had no idea how much I could do with it.
