hey all ..

i have seen people play games on excel.

i have an idea for a game, its a card game (big two, or thirteen we call it in australia) ... and i want to make one around excel, so i can pass it around at work.

i also know its possible to have lan games too (if you have seen the monopoly game on excel).

so was wondering how I would get started on something like this?

do you use windows api mostly, or is it just using excel functions? what should i read or look into?

also - say i wanted to create and instant messenger for LAN's ... how would i go about doing this?
