General changes to Date

Hi All

I cannot pinpoint why this happens, but I beleive it happens because I toggle between 2 x open workbooks.

The fields that were previously set as general, and which contains numeric data, are changed to date format.

Can anybody think of a reason why. Neither sheet has any macros or code, only formulas.
