Hello.

I'm sure the answer I need is here somewhere, but I can't find it...

I need to compare 2 spreadsheets of data and get rid of the duplicate entries. The spreadsheets contain personal data of clients: address, phone#, SSN, etc...

How can I compare SSNs between the two sheets and weed out the duplicates?

Many thanks in advance.

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
In the first file use the match function to locate like SSN in the second file. Match will return a number if the SSN exist and NA# if it doesn't. You can then use filters to display the numbers (does not equal NA#) then delete these rows.
