How to calculate loan payments in Excel?
Use the PMT function: =PMT(5%/12,60,-25000) is for a $25,000 loan, 5% annual interest, 60 month loan.
Here are a few examples.

VBA Code:
Public Sub AccessProcedure1(caller As Object)
    If TypeName(caller) = "Workbook" Then Debug.Print caller.Name, caller.FullName
End Sub

'if you have set a reference to Excel lib from within Access
Public Sub AccessProcedure2(caller As Excel.Workbook)
If TypeOf caller Is Workbook Then Debug.Print caller.Name, caller.FullName
End Sub

Also you could pass in the workbook name as a parameter or an optional parameter if you need backward compatibility.
