getting list of tables from an Access database

If I run the code below as SQL in an Access database (for which I have read-write access), I end up with a table of all of the objecs

SELECT name from msysobjects where type = 1;
[/code]

However, I f I use this code in Excel VB to try to do the same thing
[/code]
strsql = "SELECT name from msysobjects where type = 1;"
rst.Open strsql, cnt, adOpenStatic
[/code]

I get an error:
"Record(s) cannot be read; no read permission on 'msysobjects'."

Can anyone explain wht this is so, or, more importantly, what I ned to do to get it working?
