I have an amount in cell A1. I want cell B1 to show $500 if the amount is less than $500, show $1000 if the amount is between $500.01 to $999.99, show $1300 if the amount is between $1000 to 1299.99, show $1500 if the amount is between $1300 to $1499.99, and show $2000 if the amount is greater than $1500.

Remove leading & trailing spaces
Save as CSV to remove all leading and trailing spaces. It is faster than using TRIM().
Try.
VBA Code:
=VLOOKUP(A1,{0,500;500,1000;1000,1300;1500,1500;1500.01,2000},2)

Solution
=LOOKUP(A1,{0,500;500.01,1000;1000,1300;1300,1500;1500,2000})

What value do you want for 1500?
