Hi everyone

I have a spreadsheet with around 4000 employee names who report to 112 managers.

Is there a way that I can group by manager with a + beside each manager?

I have tried to do this manually but it seems to expand the group as the rows are consecutive even when I select a different team.

Thanks in a advance for any help with this.

Regards
Yusuf

Excel Facts

Select a hidden cell
Somehide hide payroll data in column G? Press F5. Type G1. Enter. Look in formula bar while you arrow down through G.
If you create a pivot table based on your data, you should get exactly what you need. Just put managers and employees into the row labels (in that order).

Thanks Moonfish

I've already tried this. The thing is that I also have dashboard cost data alongside each employee entry.

It might not be a quick solution but if you're willing to group them manually I would suggest manually adding blank lines between managers.
