Hello,

I am trying to tweek the following code to group rows by using text* ,rather than the row reference as it is now. For example; Range("B145:B166).Select to search for all rows with letters xxx*, then select and group those rows and rename group, etc.

Code:
Sub GroupingbyvendorName()
'
' GroupingbyvendorName Macro
'
' Keyboard Shortcut: Ctrl+c
'
    Range("B145:B166").Select
    Selection.Group
    ActiveSheet.PivotTables("PivotTable").PivotFields("Vendor Name2").PivotItems( _
        "Group1").Caption = " Accenture"
    Range("B168:B180").Select
    Selection.Group
    ActiveSheet.PivotTables("PivotTable").PivotFields("Vendor Name2").PivotItems( _
        "Group2").Caption = " Accordo "
    Range("B195:B208").Select
    Selection.Group
    ActiveSheet.PivotTables("PivotTable").PivotFields("Vendor Name2").PivotItems( _
        "Group3").Caption = " Action"
End Sub

</PRE><!-- END TEMPLATE: bbcode_code -->

Is it possible to have this macro search for say; accentu*, group all rows that have the characters+* ?

Thanks for your help!!
