I have a quarterly model, so I know the starting and ending date of each period (e.g. quarter 1 is 1/1/2023 and 3/31/2023). I have 5 very large costs that I have to incur on a given date, but I have several days to spread , so they sometimes need to be prorated over 2 quarters. (e.g., if I need to incurr 1 million on 3/20/2033 and have 45 days then I will incur (11/45 of 1 million in quarter 1 and the rest thecfollowing quarter). I have 5 costs like this, each with a starting date, a number if days to incur and an amount). I am struggling with excel code to assign the proper amounts to the appropriate quarters. Any help greatly appreciated.
