Hello,

I'm in the process of creating a custom gantt formulation for a specific batch production case, without using excel charts. This uses some basic operations research methodology, but the problem is the the code, not in method.

The production case is like this:
I have 4 processes - 1,3,5,7
Process 1 has no predecessor & no work-in progress stock.
Process 3 has no predecessor, but has work-in progress stock
Process 5 has predecessor & no work-in progress stock.
Process 7 has predecessor & work-in progress stock.

The process time for one batch is available for all processes. And the WIP stock is also available.

The objective is to check out what is the idle time of all the processes for a period of 120 hours. For this, I'm using a macro which does the following:
- If process time is 2 hours, it is converted into 10 minute sessions = 12 sessions
- For process 1, upon clicking the commandbutton, the column 11 to 22 of the corresponding row will be passed a value 1 (which means that the batch 1 takes twelve 10 min sessions)
- For process 3, The WIP stock will be processed first & then same as process 1
- for process 5, since it has a predecessor, it will wait till batch 1 gets over in process 1 & then carries out the outcome of process 1.
- process 7 is still a bit complex.

I got the results for process cases 1,3 & 5. The problem is in process 7.

I feel to help me out in this case, one need to go through the excel file with the macro. The macro is just a small one (20 lines). But Since I can't attach the document here, i don't know what to do.

If you can suggest me a free share site, I'll be uploading the file for your viewing.

Kindly help out.

Cheers.
Vijay
