Help with graphs

My graphs keep defaulting to the blue plain Jane bar graphs. I first put in images and they disappeared after reopening the file. Then I just tried changing colors and I be damned it changed a simple color back to blue again after reopening.

What is going on?

It's a dynamic chart if that makes a difference.
