Is there a way to prevent or stop excel from changing the format of a cell when a user input data on it.... ill explain:

in cell A1 i have a format of text, but if a user write a date the format of the cell changes to date... how can i lock the format of that cell...

Are you sure you have it formatted as text? I can't recreate what you are seeing (ie date stays as text).
