Hidding Formulas

Hello All, ...... this is my first post.

I read the post from onehockeyguy2000 8/28/02 and can not get the results described. We did Format menu/Cell/Protection and clicked Hidden. The problum is that when you go protect the sheet, (Tool menu/Protection) the 3 choices of protection do not allow you to imput data in the imput cells that have to remain viable. The whole sheet is locked.

What's wrong with this picture????

welcome to the board.
if you want to be able to input data into cells in a protected sheet, try this. select all the cells you want to be able to enter data into (hold down the ctrl key to select multiple cells) and go to format menu>cells>protection tab and uncheck the 'locked' checkbox. then go to tools menu>protection and protect the sheet as instructed. once you've done that you can enter data in the unlocked cells.
