highlight triplicate and quadruplicate values (but not duplicates)

Hi,
I am trying to figure out how to format cells with triplicate or quadruplicate values

my spreadsheet should always have duplicates, but never more than that.

(the column I want to format is column "E")

I am hoping to do this with conditional formatting as I dont want to add another column into the sheet.

any help?
