Excel Facts

How to total the visible cells?
From the first blank cell below a filtered data set, press Alt+=. Instead of SUM, you will get SUBTOTAL(9,)

Instead of A1 use $A$1. Is this what you want? From the help file

When you move a formula, the cell references within the formula do not change. When you copy a formula, absolute cell references do not change; relative cell references will change

Hi

A different way might be to select the cell and highight the text in the formula bar [copy - ctrl nad hold press C] and past where you want [ctrl+V]

This will rubber stamp the copied cell [no changes}
